Plain markdown, always
Every journal entry and page is a .md file. Structure comes from headings and indentation, not from a database, so your notes open in any editor and outlive any app, including this one.
A journal that becomes knowledge
Write the day into today's entry. Wrap an idea in [[double brackets]] and it's a concept with a page and backlinks, whether or not you've written that page yet. Tasks live inline and roll up into one view.
Encrypted before it leaves your device
With Sync+ your graph is encrypted on your machine and only ever decrypted on your devices. The server relays and stores ciphertext. It can't read your notes, your titles or even your graph's name, and neither can we.

Every device, end-to-end encrypted
We run the sync service so you don't have to. Your graph is encrypted on your device with keys only you hold, then synced to your phone, tablet and laptop, and to the people you choose to share it with. A live markdown mirror on your disk keeps the files yours.

Things worth knowing before you start
- Folder graphs need the File System Access API, which today means a Chromium desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave). Phones, Safari and Firefox work with Sync+.
- End-to-end encryption cuts both ways. Lose every signed-in device and your Recovery Code and nobody can decrypt your synced notes, us included. Keep the code, and keep a local mirror if you like belt and braces.
- The editor is one text surface. No separate reading mode, no blocks as UI widgets, no rich-text layer hiding the markdown. Some people love that; some don't.
